The Reception is a greeting area for guests. A directional hub and security entry point for visitors and staff. It needs to cater for a variety of needs simultaneously. It needs to portray the professionalism and brand of the organisation it represents.
A new layout with a fresh look was what was needed at NBN Co. Thanks to our friends at Momentum who created a great design for us to build.
Starting with the removal of the existing lift lobby fit out, we proceeded to get the site stripped out and prepped for the the base install of the new cabinetry.
In the lift lobby a new floating wall was built to house the LED light boxes and 8 panel monitor array. This active content greets visitors as they exit the lifts and is a natural lead into the reception area.
The reception and waiting area have been clad in a timber veneer that contrasts the printed glass partitions and tiled floor.
A new storage area with backlit servery brings functionality together with hospitality in a custom built fixed cabinet.
This new addition opens up a previously boxed in space and allows for self serve refreshments and access to power.
On the opposite wall in the seating area a 4 panel monitor array entertains and informs guests while they wait.
The monitor surround is clad in the same timber veneer as the servery.
